About the artist, Becky Coker:I recently graduated from the Art Institute of Orange County - Santa Ana where I completed their Game Art & Design program. I often get asked, why games? Sometimes it's asked out of honest interest in getting to know me, though usually it's because there aren't too many girls interested in making games. Others know the lifestyle needed for making games and know how hard and time consuming it is and think anyone wanting that sort of life must be daft. This last one is true! But I still want to make games. I've had long and atrocious hours while working customer service for World of Warcraft and still maintaining a sizable school load. To some, a 70+ hour work/school week might seem just a little over the basic line for determining daftness, but I loved it. I was very heartbroken when I realized I had to quit my job to finish up my last year of school, in part because I thought I might have too much free time and get bored. I was also reluctant to quit my insane schedule because I really enjoyed being around a bunch of other people who loved games as much as I do. So that's 'why games?' Gaming and art are my two passions in life. I am always excited to see when art and game play are pushed to the next level by new technologies and innovative new game designs. With my recently discovered free time, I focus most of it on developing my skills in 3D art, texturing and concepts, or slacking and playing the new Halo 3 demo which is currently calling to me even now. I do like to keep my hand in other forms of art as well out of interest and the occasional need for variety. Clay modeling, rigging, and lighting help to keep my ideas fresh all around. I firmly believe that a broad understanding of other art forms helps produce a better art overall. My favorite programs/toys of all time are:

About the Web Design:The design on the website features two main designs, a tree and a serpentine dragon. The tree is the Yggdrasil, the 'tree of life' in Norse mythology. The dragon is Jörmungandr, the world serpent. Jörmungandr is also known as the Midgard (World) Serpent since he grew to be so large he could reach from one end of the world to the other and bite his own tail. These Norse mythology themes were popular in a lot of my favorite RPG style games, so I incoorpreated them into my website. You can read more about these Scandinavian references on Wikipedia:
